SMF, Inc. was founded in Minonk, Illinois in 1972 as a metal manufacturing facility. Since then, we have opened two additional locations in Anderson, South Carolina and Tulsa, Oklahoma to expand our reach and serve customers across the country. SMF has subsequently evolved into a full-service fabrication and machining company with a combined total of 240,000 square feet of facility space.

As a Tier One supplier to OEMs, we are held to high-quality standards by our many Fortune 500 clients. Although we have grown to exceed the constantly growing demands of the industry, we have maintained our service-minded attitude for more than four decades. Today, we remain just as focused on client care and building quality relationships as we were in 1972.

DELIVERIES

When you work with SMF, late deliveries are a thing of the past. We provide local delivery for certain products in our company-owned trucks, saving you money on shipping. For larger products or customers outside of our delivery area, our dedicated team will help you find the lowest freight cost with the quickest turnaround time.

SMF, INC. OPENED AS A METAL MANUFACTURING FACILITY IN ILLINOIS IN 1972

Since then, we’ve grown both in size and capability. Today, we operate a 160,000 square foot fabrication and machining facility in Minonk and are one of only a few metal fabricators in the country with the capacity to weld and machine parts up to 30,000 pounds.

SOUTH CAROLINA’S TRUSTED METAL SUPPLIER

We are proud to have joined the South Carolina community in 2013 when we purchased a steel service center facility in Anderson. Over the years, we’ve grown to meet the changing needs of our valued customers. Today, we provide custom metal fabrication services in addition to our structural steel service center. We are proud to be known as one of South Carolina’s trusted metal suppliers.

OK FAB & MACHINING

In 2016, SMF, Inc. partnered with OK Fab and Machining to provide sheet metal fabrication services in Tulsa, Oklahoma and surrounding areas. Our philosophies on outstanding quality, on-time delivery, and customer service are one and the same—so combining our expertise made perfect sense.
