Former NFL linebacker Pete Shufelt started Backerworks in 1998 from a backyard garage. Since then, Backerworks has grown into a 22,000 square foot facility, the only shop in New Mexico offering CNC machining, certified welding, waterjet cutting, fabrication, wire EDM, tool and die, inspection and quality assurance under one roof.
Backerworks strives to provide exceptional service from design to delivery, working with all steel alloys, aluminum, exotic metals and plastics for National Laboratories, Aerospace, Military, Research and Development companies.
