Parish Roofing Company is a family owned and operated professional roofing and exterior company. The present organization was established in 1969 as Westbank Roofing Inc. That is 47 years of continuous service to Jefferson Parish and South Louisiana! Under the direction of it’s President David Hinkly, a retired army veteran, and his wife Mary C. Hinkley, Westbank Roofing Inc. experienced a period of rapid growth and expanding markets.
In 1978, the Hinkley’s expanded into the roofing and sheet metal supply business and later established Parish Roofing Company to better serve the East-bank and North-shore markets. The Hinkley family is committed to bringing their brand of service and integrity, in the roofing business, to the entire South Louisiana area. Our companies are presently served by a central warehouse and office complex, located in Harvey, Louisiana. Included are material, equipment and vehicle storage Louisiana. Home to our material showroom and complete sheet metal shop.
OUR HISTORY
On August 2, 1970, Woodrow Rivers, a participant in the company's operation from the beginning, became owner and president of Charles Adams Roofing Company. Mr. Rivers changed the name of the company to WESTBANK ROOFING, INC. in 1972 and moved its location from Belle Chasse to Harvey in 1978.
In 1978
It was also in 1978 that Mr. River's sister, Mary C. Hinkley, and her husband David Hinkley joined the firm. David Hinkley was named manager of WESTBANK ROOFING, INC. while Mrs. Hinkley was given responsibility for internal office operation. Under the direction of the Hinkley's, WESTBANK ROOFING, INC. expanded into the roofing and sheet metal supply business. In 1980 their son, W. Keith Hinkley, began working for the company in the roofing division and eventually became active in estimating and job management.
In 1983
In 1983, the Hinkley's purchased WESTBANK ROOFING, INC. from Woodrow Rivers with David Hinkley becoming its president, W. Keith Hinkley its vice president and Mary C. Hinkley secretary/treasurer and operations manager of the roofing and sheet metal supply division.
In 1988
The company expanded again in 1988 with the founding of LOUISIANA ROOFING AND SHEET METAL WORKS. This division of WESTBANK ROOFING, INC. is managed by W. Keith Hinkley. The Hinkley family is committed to bringing their brand of service and integrity in the roofing business to the entire Southeast Louisiana Area..
In 2001
LOUISIANA HOME IMPROVEMENT CO., INC. was established in February, 2001 to complement the existing roofing services offered. This division is managed by Sharon Hinkley and is devoted to the sales and service of siding, soffits, fascias, patio covers, glass enclosures, hurricane shutters and panels and replacement windows.
In 2015
LOUISIANA HOME IMPROVEMENT CO., INC. was established in February, 2001 to complement the existing roofing services offered. This division is managed by Sharon Hinkley and is devoted to the sales and service of siding, soffits, fascias, patio covers, glass enclosures, hurricane shutters and panels and replacement windows.
