Partlan-Labadie

James W. Partlan, the son of an Irish immigrant, founded J.W. Partlan Co in June of 1889.  He earned his master plumber license and decided to start his own complete Mechanical Contracting company as both a Plumbing and Sheet Metal contracting company.  When the climate changed to favor piping contractors and sheet metal contractors to be separate entities, he moved his sheet metal operation across the street and dubbed it Partlan Sheet Metal Works.  Years later, in 1941, under the guidance of James F. Partlan, James W.’s son, the sheet metal portion of the company incorporated under the new name of Partlan Sheet Metal Works and was to be run by his son Robert L. Partlan and his brother-in-law, Frank Labadie.  In 1948, the corporation changed its name once again to the current Partlan-Labadie Sheet Metal Company.  Since this time, Partlan-Labadie Sheet Metal Co. has seen another Partlan generation, Chuck Partlan and his partner, Gary Pessina evolve the company to what it is known as today.  Whether it be the J.W. Partlan Co., Partlan Sheet Metal Works, or Partlan-Labadie Sheet Metal Co. our company has secured itself deep in the roots of the Mechanical Contracting Industry.  With over 125 years of experience we intend to mold many more generations to carry on this long lasting tradition.
