United Steel (Malaysia) Group was founded in April 2014. It is located in the capital of Pahang, Malaysia, and the largest city in the East Coast Special Economic Zone-Kuantan. It is located near the port of Kuantan and faces the South China Sea.

The company is a state-owned joint-stock foreign enterprise jointly funded by Guangxi Beibu Gulf International Port Group Co., Ltd. and Guangxi Shenglong Metallurgy Co., Ltd. It is the focus of the China-Malaysia Kuantan Industrial Park promoted by the leaders of China and Malaysia and co-constructed by the two governments. The project is also the first to enter the park, with a total investment of about 1.4 billion U.S. dollars and a planned land of 710 acres. It mainly produces high-speed wire rods, bars and H beams, with an annual output of 3.5 million tons.

United Steel (Malaysia) Group Company is a large-scale multinational enterprise integrating production, processing, distribution and trade.
