Bendel Tank & Heat Exchange

Bendel began manufacturing carbon steel tanks in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1963 under the name of Atlas Steel Products Company. The name was changed to Bendel Corporation in 1982 when the manufacturing division was spun-off from the parent company. Primary ownership has never changed hands.

In 2012, we updated our company name to Bendel Tank & Heat Exchanger. Storage Tank fabrication, pressure vessel fabrication and heat exchanger machining and fabrication are core expert services from Bendel Storage Tank & Heat Exchanger.

In 1983, a large modern new facility was built for the purpose of manufacturing custom stainless steel tanks. This move was highly successful, and in 1987, the manufacturing facility was expanded and additional office space for engineering and drafting was added.

Again in 1991, Bendel enlarged our manufacturing area in order to segregate the manufacture of custom carbon steel and stainless steel tanks. The engineering and office facilities also were expanded  to accommodate our planned growth. In 2015, Bendel celebrated its 50th Anniversary, and our offices  were again  streamlined to provide more space for  our growing staff. Over the years, Bendel has continued to modernize our facilities with buildings, machinery, equipment, and to recruit competent employees.
