Pacific Press Technologies
714 Walnut Street, Mount Carmel, Illinois, United States | Steel/Iron
Our story began during World War II when Pacific Press built the U.S.’ first hydraulic press brake. The industry quickly realized our product was a much safer and more reliable alternative to mechanical brakes. But we weren’t satisfied with just one innovation. We wanted to continue to help America lead the way by improving technology across all our product lines. Along the way we also built:
- The first computer-controlled servo-hydraulic press for composite molding
- The world’s largest plate shear (G-Series 36’) capable of cutting one and a half inch steel plate
- The world’s largest chop shear (G-Series 2′) capable of cutting two inch steel pipe
