Steel City Recycling

Steel City Recycling is one of the largest scrap metal processors in Alabama with a second processing yard in West Point, Mississippi. The Birmingham plant operates a 4,000 HP Newell 98/104 Automobile Shredder, a 1,000 ton Harris Shear, a Harris HRB Baler and a 1,500 HP Aluminum Wire Chopping Line. The West Point plant operates a 500 ton Sierra Shear.

Steel City Recycling is a full service scrap metal recycling company. Each plant purchases and processes all types of scrap metals including copper, aluminum, used beverage cans, stainless steel, insulated copper and aluminum wire to all types of steel, cast iron, and automobiles.

Steel City Recycling operates over 300 roll-off containers and tractor trailers to service our Dealer and Industrial customer needs.  Birmingham and West Point plants have rail access to the CSX and KCS railroads for inbound and outbound shipments.
