It was back in 1938 that the Reineman family set up their steel shop along the railroad tracks in Chicago. The railroad provided an economical means of transport for raw materials, and enabled the family to pass cost savings along to buyers.In the early days, top-grade products were distributed to just a few local customers. Then word got around, 'Quality steel at good prices,' and in 1953 a Milwaukee distribution center was added to help accommodate all of the orders. Today major manufacturers from all parts of the United States are satisfied customers of Crown Steel
