American Roofing & Metal, was founded in 1904 by Henry Spalten and has remained in the Spalten family for five generations. The business started as a small tinsmith shop in downtown San Antonio, Texas and soon grew into a full-service roofing and sheet metal fabrication company.  This was only the beginning of American Roofing & Metal’s evolution. We continued to expand our services as well as our service area. Today, you will see our roofing and service vehicles and equipment throughout Texas and beyond—including internationally—as we work around the world as a federal contractor.
