Part of the Ice River Springs’ family, Blue Mountain Plastics is a state-of-the-art plastics recycling facility. We buy mixed plastic bales and other forms of unrefined plastic (see images below) from municipal recycling programs and businesses.
We process them, sorting the materials into different types and colors of plastic. We produce pellets from the food grade plastic which can then be used to produce new food containers including 100% recycled blue and green bottles.
Plastic labels and bottle caps are used to recycle into beautiful sturdy outdoor furniture by a partner company, C.R. Plastic Products Products. Independent studies show that using recycled plastic uses considerable less energy than using virgin materials.
