History :

Vaughan Roofing & Sheet Metal was established in 1945 by Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Vaughan, Sr., as a matter of necessity.  Mr. Vaughan contributed to the World War II war effort by assembling Catalina Patrol Bombers at the Consolidated Aircraft factory on the New Orleans Lakefront.

Exultation at winning The War was short lived, however.  Soon airplane production stopped and everyone received their pink slips.
