The Posner name has been prominent in the metal business through three generations of the Posner family, dating back to the 1960’s when Fred Posner opened a scrap yard selling used steel to be melted down and sold as scrap metal. It didn’t take Fred long to realize that there was some very useable pieces of metal just being melted down. In 1982 we started separating the useful pieces out and selling them for reuse. That decision expanded into two separate businesses – a scrap yard, Posner Metals and the metal superstore that is Beach Road Steel.

For decades people have been coming to the steel store with supermarket convenience and Beach Road Steel has grown with the customer demand. The majority of the inventory is now prime, new steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze and copper but still incorporates secondary and reusable metals in all shapes and sizes into our selection. We pride ourselves on being the one source for all your metal requirements. We’ll find, cut, load and deliver whatever you need to get the job done.
