Penobscot Energy Recovery Company

The Penobscot Energy Recovery Company (PERC) was organized in 1983 to develop and manage a 25.3 megawatt (MW), 1,000 ton-per-day Wastewaste-to-energy facility that can processes over 300,000 tons of municipal solid waste (MSW) annually.  Our technology is still state of the art and our facility has been so well maintained that a recent evaluation by an international engineering firm said that we can operate successfully for at least another 20 years.
