Tarheel Converter and Core

Tarheel Converter and Core started in January of 2003 in Lowgap, NC.  We started with 2 employees, one truck and a 8,000 sq foot building sitting on a one acre lot.  Over the past 7 years we have grown to 15 employees, 9 trucks and a 70,000 sq foot building.  aboutusIn the beginning, our focus was on catalytic converters, aluminum wheels and rebuildable automotive parts.  We continue to this day to stay focused on those core fundamental items, in addition, we have expanded our product mix to consist of steel, aluminum based products, copper based products, computer scrap and specialty metals.  We are focused on providing our customers with competitive pricing on a wide range of products.   From commercial customers to individuals, big and small, we have the resources and experience in the metals industry to provide our customers with what they need to grow their business.
