Walter Long Manufacturing Company is a full service custom steel plate and pipe fabrication job shop, fabricating to customer specs. Material used include aluminum, carbon steel, and stainless steel. Our specialties include roll forming, 1/8' to 4' carbon steel plate and 1” x 1” x 1/8” to 6” x 6” x 5/8” in angles, channels, rings and pipe. Other services include high definition plasma cutting, CNC servograph and welding in a manufacturing area of more than 30,000 square feet.

Walter Long Manufacturing Company. In 1898, Walter Long & his brother Albert began our company on the South Side of Pittsburgh. Initially, boiler repairing kept the company busy. Soon satisfied customers prevailed in convincing Walter & Albert to manufacture boilers, tanks & stacks. A second location was added in Finleyville PA. As the business grew, the profits were invested in equipment & employees.We continue this same successful formula for growth today. By upgrading & expanding our machinery & through on-going cross training of our personnel, we maintain our reputation of consistent quality. Our employees are also “long timers”. More than half of our employees have been with us for over twenty years.Now in its fourth generation, the Long family tradition of quality & service continues. Our president, Robert I (Bob) Long & his sons David & Rob oversee the daily operation of our company. Walter & Albert would be justifiably proud of the company they began in 1898 & their family
