AMHAWK: Steel Fabrication

Postelli Steelfab was founded in 1970s as a custom steel fabricator and manufacturer of steel products. The location was 100 Clements St, Coloma, Michigan. The facility has about 36,000 sq ft. under one roof. As the business grew, painting operations were added, and later a separate contract painting company was formed. The painting company was located at 200 Dunbar, Hartford Michigan, 9 miles from the original building. This facility had about 44,000 sq ft. with ample room for expansion.In the third quarter of 2003, both the companies were acquired by AMHAWK LLC. AMHAWK operates in the same two cities with facilities totaling 80,000 sq ft of manufacturing space. Since 2003, AMHAWK has continuously invested in equipment and facility improvements and upgrades to exceed customer requirements and expectations.

In 2009, the company added complete light assembly operations in addition to its full metal fabrication, powder coat painting, and liquid coat painting capabilities.AMHAWK LLC is a Minority Owned Company. Plant I is located in a renaissance zone for the City of Hartford.In 2010, the Coloma operations were moved to a larger building, 200 N. West Street Coloma MI. Also in 2011, a 12,000 sq ft building in Hartford was added to meet the growing needs.
