Bruce Industrial Company is located in Wilmington, Delaware and has been a major contractor and supplier of Material Handling Equipment in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland since 1947.Our Commercial and Industrial Construction Division specializes in structural steel, process piping, hoist & crane, and millwright and rigging work.Our Standard Products Division specializes in material handling, ergonomic and related maintenance equipment. Bruce is the only industrial material handling equipment distributor in the Delaware Valley with in-house assembly, installation, and fabrication capability.We take great pride in our multi-disciplined capabilities and, above all, is our commitment to execute safe, on-time, and on-budget projects.

Personnel and Safety

Bruce Industrial Company employs approximately 85 skilled tradesmen organized into crews working under the supervision of foremen and project managers. Our mechanics & technicians (millwrights, riggers, welders, pipe fitters, fabricators, steel erectors and specialty mechanics) have proven ability in their trades.Bruce recognizes the importance of good safety practices and conducts a formal program to assure the safest workplace possible. We have a full time safety director on staff, participate in the Delaware Department of Insurance Workplace Safety Program, maintain PINS and OSHA training for all shop and field personnel, and conduct regular safety meetings and job site audits. Periodic drug screening of our workforce also helps assure a safe working environment. We are proud of our accomplishment of receiving the PLATINUM LEVEL SAFETY AWARD which is presented by the Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) in partnership with OSHA to recognize 'The Best of the Best' for outstanding safety practices and performance.
