Hazen Research, Inc. is an employee-owned industrial research and development (R&D) firm located in Golden, Colorado. The company was founded in 1961 by a small group of metallurgists with strong backgrounds in research and process development for the mining and chemical industries.

Hazen's results-driven work culture encourages innovation and creativity. The company is structured into the following disciplines: Analytical Services, Thermal Processing, Environmental, Hydrometallurgy, Energy/Fuel, Process Mineralogy, Mineral Beneficiation, and Comminution. While we are known for professionalism and precision in all our work, our specialties are flowsheet and pilot plant development. Huffman Hazen Laboratories is a division of Hazen that offers complementary analytical services. Many projects require collaboration among different disciplines and divisions.
