It supplies solar-grade silicon to manufacturers of silicon ingots, wafers, and photovoltaic cells for testing, development, and supply. The company was founded in 2006 and is based in Beverly, Ohio. Solsil, Inc. operates as a subsidiary of Globe Specialty Metals, Inc.
