P&N Resources, a division of P&N Coal Company, is a third generation family-owned company that produces and markets coal, natural gas and other natural resource products.  We also are experts in the remediation of environmental and water pollution resulting from post mining and industrial activities.

P&N was incorporated and has been in business since 1946.  We are proud of our award record of performance, safety, environmental stewardship and providing jobs in the region.  We welcome the opportunity to be of service.

Natural Resources

P&N Resources produces and markets bituminous coal from the Appalachian coal fields in the eastern US.  Our base of production and reserves is centered in Pennsylvania where we produce a quality product that can be shipped by rail, truck or barge to electric generators, industry and government facilities. 

Our principals each have more than 20 years of experience and through P&N’s coal brokerage activity we can locate and source a wide array of  Northern and Central  Appalachian coals.  We also will arrange competitively priced transportation by rail, barge and truck.

P&N produces and markets natural gas from Northern Appalachian locations.   From our own wells and others, we can provide natural gas to the major northeastern pipeline systems.

Environmental Management

P&N offers solutions to environmental problems caused by abandoned or improperly reclaimed mining and industrial activities.  We know water management and how to abate polluted water discharges.  In conjunction with Federal, state and local governments and watershed associations we can design and install state-of-the-art systems for the remediation of acid mine discharges and execute stream bank stabilization projects.

Reclamation of disturbed property and surface sites is another area of excellence.  P&N reclaims abandoned sites, recovers energy and other resources that are going to waste and restores the land to productive uses.
