Dobson Industrial Inc

Dobson Industrial Inc. was established March 1947 in Bay City, Michigan as a local machinery mover and heavy hauler. The company was founded by Kenneth Goddard, George Baker and J. Gilbert Dobson.

Over the years, Dobson Industrial Inc. grew to become one of the regions largest specialized carriers with its acquisition of Van Haaren Specialized Carriers, also of Bay City, Michigan, in 1969.  Two of the original founders, Kenneth Goddard and George Baker, had worked for Van Haaren before teaming up with J. Gilbert Dobson to form Dobson Industrial Inc.
