Baffinland is a Canadian mining company led by an experienced management team who have amassed specialty experience on northern mining projects through all phases of consultation, permitting, construction and operation. Baffinland’s engineering and environmental teams also have a wealth of Arctic development experience.At Baffinland, a large part of our company works and live beyond the Arctic Circle, mining iron ore at our Mary River Property, located in the Qikiqtani Region of Nunavut on Baffin Island, Canada;  one of the world’s most captivating and seldom seen destinations.Baffinland is owned 50 % by ArcelorMittal and 50 % by Iron Ore Holdings (IOH), with ArcelorMittal remaining as Project operator. Baffinland’s Head Office is located in Oakville, Ontario, Canada and it Northern Headquarters are located in Iqaluit, Nuanvut. Baffinland is focused on the exploration and development of the Mary River Property, located at approximately 72 degrees north by 79 degrees west on Baffin Island.  This iron ore project involves the construction and development of an open pit mine. The Mary River Project consists of nine high-grade lump and fine iron ore deposits that can be mined, crushed and screened and then shipped directly to markets.
