Service Metal Company

Service Metal is a manufacturer of castings for business and industry. We specialize in stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum and brass/bronze castings from ounces to several hundred pounds. Molding methods include air set, green sand and shell. Since 1934 SMC has provided timely service of quality castings to customers in oil service, pumps, valves, meters, electronics and many other industries. Our castings are found in nuclear submarines as well as steam locomotives.

Service Metal began in 1934 as a non ferrous foundry on the near Northside in Houston, TX.   SMC added induction melting in 1987 to provide customers with carbon steel and stainless steel castings.  We moved to the Southwest side of Houston in 1999 to our 30,000 square foot facility.  The larger facility allowed us to add additional molding, melting and finishing capacity.   The 21st century has allowed SMC to add rapid prototyping to the list of services offered to business and industry.
