Freehold Cartage is a specialized carrier serving hazardous and special waste transportation needs throughout the US and Canada since 1962. We also provide transportation of solid waste and recycling for customers based in New Jersey. We are a growth oriented family company and is still owned and operated by the founding family. Our corporate headquarters is located in Monmouth County, New Jersey.

Freehold Cartage is comprised of over 400 people, of which 240 are drivers. By remaining a family oriented company and providing our employees with the best equipment and work environment, our turnover rate consistently remains low. Our philosophy is to provide the very best quality of service to our customers.

FCI has always operated with an exemplary safety record and strict regulatory compliance. We operate a large fleet of stainless steel and fiberglass tank trucks, dry vans, roll off trucks, and front end and rear end solid waste trucks. Our modern fleet equipped with an onboard satellite communications system and operated by professionals is able to transport both containerized and bulk wastes. Team members are trained in independent programs and in-house training utilizing experienced qualified staff members.

Freehold Cartage is currently licensed to transport all types of wastes throughout the US and Canada with $21 million in insurance coverage.

Residential Services

Freehold Cartage, Inc. provides regular residential trash collection to our customers. If you reside in many of the towns and municipalities in Ocean and Monmouth counties you may be able to retain Freehold Cartage as your trash carrier. Unlimited Residential Service
With this twice-weekly service you can put out as much or as little trash as you need to each time. There is no limit to the number of trash cans you may put out.
(For Household Trash ONLY.)

Toter Program

We supply the 1 (one) FREE Toter and you can choose between a once a week or twice a week pick-up schedule. IMPORTANT: With this program all of your trash MUST fit into the Toter we provide. Toters now come in two sizes—65 gallon and 96 gallon.

Recycling Program

We are now offering single stream recycling so that all of your recyclables can now go in one container. There is no need to separate paper from glass and plastics. (This program is only available in certain towns. Call 732-462-1001 to inquire).

Bulk Pick Up

From time to time you may need to discard items that are too large to be placed in a can or Toter such as furniture, cabinets, mattresses, etc. Please call our office at 732-462-1001 and we will be happy to discuss the proper handling and pricing of these items with you.
