Palmer Earthmoving is a Civil and Mining contractor who specialises in Bulk Earthworks, Road Construction, Plant hire and Mobile Crushing and Screening.Palmer Earthmoving was established by Dave and Marg Palmer in 1998 based on Dave’s extensive experience in the earthmoving industry. Dave and his vision to provide a comprehensive and integrated earthmoving service in the Great Southern region. Palmer Earthmoving currently employs 26 employees in various positions and retains the service of extra specialised consultants and part time operators.Dave Palmer started working life in 1984 as an apprentice mechanic in Denmark and his strong interest in earthmoving services meant that he was operating earthmoving and excavation machinery shortly afterwards. He purchased his first excavator in 1986 and has continued to provide contracting services ever since. He has built his reputation by never compromising on quality and has brought his philosophies of honesty and value for money into the business. He does not believe in price-cutting simply to win the work and then providing a substandard service or finish. He, along with the rest of our staff always delivers what his promises. Each job is important to him and he approaches each property and client job as if it was his own. Our expertly trained staff consists of:2 x Working Directors (that aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty),3 x Office personnel,2 x Mechanical Engineer,1 x Apprentice Mechanic,2 x Supervisors,25 x Plant Operators,We at Palmer Earthmoving know the value of supporting our community and the Great Southern region. We source all our parts and labor locally to continue to increase our skill base and offer industry experience to local workers. This complies with relevant aspects of the international management standards (AS/ISO 9001, AS/ISO 14001 and AS 4801). Our system is subject to regular audit and is continually reviewed and improved for safety and quality.Since we’re based in Albany, in the Great Southern region of WA, we always put our region first. Our customer base continues to grow year after year. We’ve worked for many companies including many State and Local Government agencies, Mining & Civil Companies. All our labour and complex (that is not done in house by our own mechanics) maintenance is sourced within the Great Southern region. Workers are assessed when they start work with a mentor appointed to provide ongoing support, training and supervision to ensure our skill base continues to develop.
