Over the years a strong customer base and reputable name was formed laying the foundations for a successful future.Through continual growth, the company expanded their operations to Cardiff NSW where they began overhauling mining equipment from existing manufacturers. In 2004, Waratah engineering expanded their reach with the production of the first ‘Waracar’. The company designed and manufactured shuttle car introduced Waratah Engineering into the international market.By 2007 the company had once again out grown its premises and relocated operations to a larger facility in Argenton NSW.In 2009 Waratah Engineering was renamed to 'Kopex Waratah' when it was purchased by global mining company 'Kopex' based in Poland. Kopex Waratah now manufactures 3 primary products (the shuttle car, roadheader and feeder breaker) and maintains its position as an industry leader.
