Fortis Engineering and Manufacturing Inc. is a privately owned company based out of Saskatoon, SK. that provides mining, engineering and manufacturing services to the mining and construction industries. The company has a global focus that offers contracting, subcontracting and consulting services to a wide range of customers.

Fortis provides services that meet or exceed the customers’ delivery, safety and quality requirements by utilizing a highly skilled work force.

Fortis also owns and operates a machining and welding shop. In addition, Fortis has access to preferred contacts for rental and sales of mining equipment and mining attachments.

In May 2011, Fortis engaged IMSM, a global consultant in ISO certification, to coach and assist in its pursuit of world recognition in the areas of Quality Management, Health and Safety practices and Environmental Protection Leadership. Fortis intends to become ISO-certified in the following mentioned practices. (ISO 9001, ISO 18001, and ISO 14001) With the receipt of the official manuals, and the progress that has been recorded for over a year, Fortis expects to continue its strategic positioning as a provider in high quality services under the approved and standardized practices of ISO. Fortis is proud of the commitment of its employees and the patience of other stakeholders.

As Fortis progresses through the last steps of the certification process, it will continue to update our customers and regulators. Fortis intends to achieve certification by mid 2013.
