Trident SPS was founded in 2019 by Bruce and Connor Hannough — a father and son based in Kittery Point, Maine. They're different in almost every way, and that's exactly what makes it work. Bruce is the face of the company: three decades deep in the perishable protein and cold-chain industry, he spearheads sales, manages client relationships, and brings a level of product knowledge most competitors simply can't match. Connor runs the operation — the systems, logistics, vendor relationships, and the infrastructure that keeps everything moving behind the scenes. Between the two of them, nothing falls through the cracks.

They launched just months before COVID hit. Supply chains fractured, companies went dark, and the food processing world was turned on its head. Trident kept going — serving the processors, distributors, and cold-chain operators who kept America's food supply running when it mattered most. That experience hardened the company and clarified the mission: build something durable, stay close to your clients, and never stop earning the business. Today, Trident serves 65+ accounts across the US. Same two people. Same approach.

Recycling

We're based in Kittery Point, Maine. The fishing docks, the lobster boats, the cold Atlantic — that's not a backdrop for us, it's home. Sustainability is built into the reason Trident exists, not bolted on as a talking point.

Every container we distribute is engineered for years of hard use — keeping plastic out of landfills and out of the ocean. When containers reach end-of-life, we work to recycle them responsibly. A product built tough enough to last is the most sustainable product there is.
