Sunland Bark and Topsoil

Sunland Bark and Topsoil has been building soils and selling quality landscape materials to homeowners, farmers and contractors in Skagit, Island, Whatcom and Snohomish Counties since 1974. Farmers depend on us for sawdust and shavings for their animals and fields. Landscape contractors and homeowners rely on us for timely delivery of soil, mulches, bark and rock.

We specialize in producing soil blends using local materials, such as sandy loam from Fidalgo Island, organic egg farm chicken compost, and aged bark mulch and sawdust from Whatcom County. We are able to produce weed free soils by using excavated sandy loam, instead of native topsoil. We use no yard waste compost in our soils. The mulches we sell are blended onsite using a variety of reclaimed materials for optimum nutrition and weed control.

We also have a constant supply of gravels, decorative rock and various bark sizes.

Recycle Services

We accept the following materials for recycling:

Brush and tree trimmings ($10 min. charge)

Stumps ($35 min. charge)

Dirt and rock – must be mostly dry ($10 min. charge & no slurry please)

Concrete (no rebar or metals) & must be 18-inches or smaller please ($15. min. charge)
