Melissa Huizinga, President of Greentek, has had a lifelong appreciation for hard work and the great outdoors. Melissa’s earliest horticulture and arboriculture experiences, molding her into a tree expert, date back to her childhood. Growing up on 17 acres of wooded property and farmland, she spent many hours outside working and enjoying nature.

Throughout high school, college, and grad school, Melissa was able to draw business and operational experience by working in the field, with customers, and in management. These opportunities provided a springboard for learning the tools of the trade and the behind-the-scenes technical and business knowledge needed to be successful in starting and operating Greentek years later.

Recycling

The primary purpose of our green waste debris grinding yard is to promote recycling and sustainability. By processing organic waste materials, the facility helps divert these materials from traditional disposal methods, such as landfills, reducing the environmental impact.
