Community Compost Composers

We are based in the town of Almonte in Mississippi Mills Ontario located on the Mississippi river 20 minutes southwest of Ottawa. A former mill town, Almonte is now known for its vibrant arts and culture community, boutique shops, home to a world class chocolate maker, coffee producer, and dairy distillery.

Community Compost Composers is a grass roots community-based effort focused on helping to reduce our impact on climate change. We combine leaves diverted from municipal leaves and yard waste depots with recycled by-products from our local coffee and chocolate businesses to fill our bioreactors to not only produce quality fungal dominant compost but reduce waste going to landfill. We also use recycled ice cream tubs from local vendors to package our finished product.
