OUR COMMUNITY

At Kanaskîy, we endeavour to create INDIGENOUS PROSPERITY for our community. We are connected to and responsible for the land, the water, the sky and one another. We strive to live with the land, not off of it.

A 100% First Nation Owned and Operated Waste Services Company serving the lower region of Treaty 8 land. Kanaskiy provides a safe and modern fleet of trucks and containers.

We employ a 100% First Nations staff with members from Swan River, Sucker Creek and Kapawe’no Reserves. All staff depart from different First Nations and return back to their communities.

We offer a full suite of transportation and container services for disposal and recycling throughout THE operational area. Trucks are off-road capable with GPS tracking and reporting; staff have been fully trained in addition to collectively having 4 decades of combined experience in the waste industry. Containers have many innovative features like side doors, rolling roof lids (open to both sides) and locking lids. In addition, all containers are manufactured in Alberta, keeping our spending local.
