Company History

Founded in 2011, High Tech Recycling began as a part-time project in a 400-square-foot garage. We never expected that our interest in recycling could grow into what it has become. Today, it occupies nearly 10,000 square-feet, processing over 100 tons of electronics in 2018. We are fully committed to keeping as many electronic devices out of the landfill as possible.

As our natural resources become scarcer and landfills reach their capacities, recycling has only become more important.

HTR Process

We handle the items we accept in an earth-friendly, responsible manner. Once we receive your items, we then analyze them to determine whether they could be refurbished or repaired. Items that cannot be refurbished or repaired are then broken down into their individual components in preparation for recycling.

When recycled properly, the raw materials from these devices can be reintroduced into the manufacturing process for new products. This greatly reduces the need for mining of raw materials, which in itself has a negative environmental impact.
