At TreadCycle we believe that our future depends on changing the way we treat our world. We are doing our part by taking waste tires and repurposing them as sustainable, safe and practical products.

We draw daily inspiration from the Motor City – Detroit, Michigan – our headquarters and the birthplace of automotive innovation. What better place to find innovative new ways to extend the life and improve the sustainability of our automotive heritage.

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER

Ethan Dunn, President

The idea for TreadCycle was born after Ethan experienced the impacts of illegal tire dumping in his neighborhood and the challenges that come with it.

As an attorney and entrepreneur, he knew there had to be a better way and he formed TreadCycle with the mission of finding a way to reuse and recycle old tires sustainably. TreadCycle has grown to become the largest recycling facility for tires in the City of Detroit and creative innovation is what drives its success. Transforming old tires into new goods that are a benefit to our communities is why he does this work. A lifelong Detroiter, he and his family continue to serve the community of Detroit and Southeast Michigan.
