Our Story

Peace of Mind Recycling (POMATL) isn’t just Atlanta’s best door-to-door service for hard-to-recycle materials—it’s a game-changer for the recycling world. Founded in 2023 by Grant Wallace (at the same time he became a new dad to baby Gus), POMATL was born with a mission: make recycling easy.

“What kind of world am I leaving for Gus?” was the catalyst for the business jumpstart. With many counties rejecting glass in curbside bins, way too much of it was ending up in landfills. So, Grant shook things up, launching POMATL to give Atlantans an easy way to recycle glass with monthly pickups straight from your home.

Since then, POMATL has rescued over 14,620 pounds of glass (as of Dec 2024) from the dreaded landfill. That’s a whole lot of bottles finding their second chance at life! Grant also founded two local groups, Atlanta Trash Talk (for all things recycling) and The Southern Shmooze (a feel-good space where neighbors help neighbors).

In 2025, Grant found his ultimate partner-in-recycling, Mark Sayers, a fellow Eagle Scout and owner of Discount Junk Removal. With Mark’s knack for clearing out the clutter and Grant’s love for turning trash into treasure, the duo expanded POMATL to cover even more recyclables. Together, they’re waging war on landfill waste and making sure every bottle, can, and oddity gets a shot at redemption.

Together, Grant and Mark are out to make recycling easy, fun, and impactful. POMATL isn’t just about recycling; it’s about building a greener Atlanta and showing Gus (and everyone else) that small changes can lead to big results.
