The Dunham Brothers’ Story

The lineage of Dunham Inc. traces back to 1984 when Dennis ‘Denny’ Dunham launched Dunham Brothers Wood Shavings. His sons Andy, Bob, Pat, Mike, David, Phil and Tom all grew up helping build their father’s wood shavings business.

In 1997, Dennis’ son Andy Dunham started his own company, A&D Recycling and Recovery. Andy saw an opportunity to expand his family’s commitment to sustainability through recycling. Under his leadership, A&D became a respected recycling and recovery operation.

Recognizing the synergies between their two companies, Andy then joined forces with his brothers in recent years to establish Dunham Inc. By combining the wood shavings experience of Bob and his other brothers with Andy’s recycling expertise, the Dunhams greatly expanded their services.

Today, the Dunham family continues to build on their shared passion for sustainability. Andy leads the recycling and metals recovery operations. Bob oversees the wood shavings division and general business activities. And the hands-on work of Pat, David, Phil and Tom keeps daily operations running smoothly.

The journey of Dunham is more than just a business story – it’s a testament to our commitment to our community and the environment. Our recycling operations have significantly reduced waste, conserved resources, and promoted the use of recycled materials. But our impact goes beyond just waste management.
