Ben and Ali Larsen

Married for 16 years, we have worn through our share of Temple Garments, and have always hated the thought that each time we dispose of them, they end up in the landfill.

Our goal and mission with Celestial Recycling is to help all members become better stewards of this home we call Earth our Savior created for us. One way we knew we could make a difference was in creating a convenient solution to the ever growing need for the disposal of used Garments through recycling.

We looked to see if there was already a solution to this issue, but found none. So, we went to work to create one. After much research into the textile recycling industry, and meetings with Church Leadership, the solution became divinely clear. We have been guided and prompted through this process to make sure we are handling these Sacred Garments and Robes with the care and respect the Lord asks.

Our aim is to facilitate the retirement of your Temple Garments and Robes in a manner that is both respectful and convenient. The garments you send us will be repurposed for a greater cause, contributing to recycling efforts rather than adding to landfill waste.

Our Mission and Stewardship

We (Ali and Ben) were cleaning out our storage room on a Saturday, and there it was. Three garbage bags full of old Temple Garments that needed to be cut up and thrown away. Ali looked at me and said, 'It's such a pain, and such a waste to cut these up and send them to the dump. We should do something about this.' I agreed and we immediately started brainstorming how to make the experience of retiring Temple Garments easier and better.

We did our homework and realized this is an area where we can make a difference. We immediately started researching ways textiles can be recycled. Due to the sacred nature of garments and the specific requirements for retirement, it took a lot of research and work to figure out some way to recycle them.

We have felt inspired every step of the way in finding the solution we present to our customers. We look forward to working with you to be a #goodsteward.

We love being members of the Church and love wearing our garments. Our goal is to make your experience with Garments even more enjoyable and more convenient, all while helping the earth along the way.
