In 1971, Pete bought a garbage truck and started picking up garbage in Gold Beach. Over the years he grew his business and eventually his route expanded to all of Curry County servicing residents and businesses with a variety of services including Roto Rooter. Waste Connections, then a small start up company, liked what they saw and entered into negotiations to purchase their third garbage company. Today, Curry Transfer & Recycling, also known as CTR, is backed by a strong parent company, but all forty employees live here, work here, and play here.
