Saru Recycling, LLC is a clean technology company that aims to optimize traditional waste management and recycling processes using integrated hardware/software solutions.
Where We Started
Founded in the halls of the University of California, Riverside in 2019, Saru began as a small student-founded project focused on combating climate change by making recycling more accessible and rewarding. After preliminary funding by UCR’s Office of Technology Partnerships, and success in numerous pitching and engineering design competitions, Saru Recycling was founded and began prototype manufacturing.
Where We’re Going
Fast Forward to 2021, and Saru Recycling is on the verge of releasing its first unit, Mk I, alongside the pilot builds of our mobile and web management platforms to the public. After receiving substantial support from sponsors and endorsements from local councilmembers, our team is currently exploring investment opportunities as we go to market with our Mk I and Mk II units later this year.
