The SRR is the Society for the regulation of the waste management service for the Optimal Territorial Area including all the Municipalities of the Province of Ragusa. The Company was established on 26 July 2013 in compliance with the provisions of the art. 6, paragraph 1, of L. R. 8 April 2010, n. 9, between the Regional Province of Ragusa and the Municipalities of Acate, Chiaramonte Gulfi, Comiso, Giarratana, Ispica, Modica, Monterosso Almo, Pozzallo, Ragusa, Santa Croce Camerina, Scicli and Vittoria. The SRR, as required by art. 8 of the Regional Law n. 9/2010, has as its corporate purpose the exercise of the functions envisaged by articles 200, 202, 203 of Legislative Decree 3 April 2006, n. 152, on the subject of territorial organization, assignment and regulation of the integrated waste management service, with the methods set out in article 15 of the Regional Law. n. 9/2010.
