River Metals Recycling, LLC (RMR) is a wholly owned venture of Cincinnati-based, The David J. Joseph Company (DJJ), one of USA's largest scrap metal companies.  
 
Our parent Company's rich history began in 1885. We possess a wealth of experience and an entrepreneurial spirit that is vital to success in the scrap recycling industry.

RMR was formed in 1998 by combining the Klempner Brothers yard, River City Baling, and River City Shredding (all in Louisville, KY) with Joseph's Henderson, KY and Newport, KY yards. Today, we operate 9 recycling facilities in 4 states.   

We buy all types of ferrous and nonferrous scrap metals at each of our recycling locations, with a team of specialists who continually monitor market conditions to establish fair, competitive prices.
