BOFA

Bofa's task is to plan, establish and operate the necessary facilities for the treatment and recycling of waste from the regional municipality. In addition, collection schemes have been established for waste and recyclable materials from both households and businesses on Bornholm.

Bofa's catchment area includes the whole of Bornholm, and consists of both rural and urban zones. The buildings consist of apartments, detached houses and actual rural buildings.

On Bornholm, there are also approx. 3,400 companies within many different industries.
There are no actual 'environmentally heavy' companies on Bornholm.

As a result of an extensive tourist industry, the population increases significantly during the summer months.
