History

In 1962, Orla Rasmussen started Orla's product business on the square in Bjerring. At that time, only Orla and his wife, Birgit, were employed in the company. Orla and Birgit drove around among the customers and collected the iron, which was driven back to the site, where it was sorted. After sorting, Orla manually loaded the sorted iron back onto the small truck and drove it down to the railway, which at the time was responsible for further transport of the iron.

In 1994 there was a generational change and this is where Jatob ApS was born. Jatob is an abbreviation of Orlas and Birgit and children's names: Jan, Allan, Tina, Orla and Birgit. To this day, Jatob ApS is still a family-owned and family-run company.
