Ecocina

Ecocina is a small business project (SBP) . The members of the company are all students of the PXL college of the Green & Tech department. The company aims to convert waste from Polypropylene products into a kitchen rack made from recycled plastic and merge it with pure granules of Polypropylene. These granules are used to realize a product of a better quality. The product was realized with the help of Acryplex and ES-Plastics. ​

Ecocina is a small business project (SBP) under the wings of vzw Vlaamse Jonge Ondernemingen (Vlajo), a non-profit organization that aims to develop young people's sense of initiative and entrepreneurial spirit. Given the short lifespan, an SBP does not have a company number and therefore has no legal personality. An SBP is not subject to VAT (decision of the VAT administration 20/12/89), but is – because of the authentic learning process – 'subject to VAT' to vzw Vlajo.
