Fiberight was initially established to address the demand for second generation ethanol in the US by converting the cellulosic component of recycled paper and cardboard into ethanol. Although sound in theory, the price of recycled paper at the time meant that this idea would not be economically feasible.
Instead a secondary plan was devised... the recovery of paper from a lower value feedstock - mixed waste
