Cheshire West Recycling Ltd

Cheshire West Recycling provide over 320,000 refuse, recycling and garden waste household kerbside collections each week on behalf of Cheshire West and Chester Council (link to Council page). We’re focussed on reducing the impact of carbon on the local environment and are continually looking to recycle and recover more. Waste that can’t be reused is recognised as a valuable resource and used as a fuel to produce power and heat. Less than 1.5% of all waste we collect has to be landfilled.

We employ over 300 local people and operate over 100 efficient frontline collection vehicles running on low carbon, renewable and sustainable Hydrogenised Vegetable Oil (HVO) fuel. Our in-house Fleet Services (link to fleet page) provide cost effective and efficient vehicle maintenance and servicing to our own fleet and some of the Council owned operational fleet.

Established as a Council owned company in October 2019, our cooperative principles embrace a collaborative approach to minimising the impact of waste on our community.
