Frying in fat or oil is experiencing a renaissance these days. During repeated frying , changes occur in the cooking oil and fat, which lead to a loss of gastronomic value. In the past, the oil was regularly recycled; for example, housewives used it to make laundry soap, which they then used as a cleaning agent.

Today, however, few people have the time or the opportunity to deal with this, so very often the cooking oil unsuitable for further frying and cooking ends up in the drains, or what is even worse, the cooking oil that has been used several times before is often reused (e.g. for frying). However, when fat and cooking oil become tired and worn out, they become unsuitable for further use for food purposes. In this, decomposition products are formed, some of which may be harmful to health, because the used cooking oil will contain carcinogenic substances due to overheating.

In addition to its direct health-damaging effect, it can also have a harmful effect on the environment if we do not take care of its proper collection and treatment.
