Kivistö Pipe Waste

Vantaa Kivistö has a pipe waste system in use. It was put into use in 2015 and it is supposed to extend to the entire area of ​​the new center of Kivistö.

The pipe waste system encourages residents to sort and recycle waste. It is hygienic, easy to use and safe. The waste pipe collection system lowers energy costs and its environmental impact is smaller compared to traditional waste collection.

With the pipe waste system, the traffic of garbage trucks with their noise and exhaust gases will be removed from the residential area, which improves traffic safety. The piped waste system in the area for yards also does not require separate waste canopies or bins.
