Monomeros del Vallés we have been dedicated to recycling methyl methacrylate for more than 50 years . The experience of all these years has helped us to reach maximum levels of quality of the recycled monomer.

We are very proud of our history and we would like to share it with you.

The beginnings

The company's activity dates back to the early 50s with the manufacture of acrylic sheet, polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), in the plant located in Terrassa under the name of Guiasca SA , being pioneers in Spain .

Due to the difficulty at the time in obtaining methyl methacrylate (MMA) monomer , the manufacture of regenerated monomer began by depolymerizing remains of its own manufacture and those of third parties and thus initiating the methacrylate recycling activity.

The 70s

During these years, coinciding with the serious oil crisis, the acrylic sheet manufacturing activity ceased and the company focused exclusively on the depolymerization, recovery and recycling of methacrylate.

It is during this time when the plant is relocated to its current location, in the Can Parellada Industrial Estate in Terrassa and since 1982 the company is renamed with the name it is today, Monómeros del Vallés SL Vallés monomers in the 70s

Nowadays

For more than 65 years , the company has continued its methyl methacrylate depolymerization or recycling activity, becoming, in 1996, waste managers authorized by the Generalitat de Catalunya for both solid and liquid waste, with number E – 199.96 . The company currently works with suppliers and clients both nationally and from the rest of Europe.
